Initial fitting of the tuning pegs. I have opted for some rosewood ones, as they are a better fit than the ebony.
Also working on the fingerboard too.

There is a slight twist in the neck that I am trying to correct as best I can before gluing the fingerboard.

Almost ready to re-glue the fingerboard. Just a bit more fine tuning on the neck correction.

Ready to re glue the fingerboard now. There is still a slight misalignment on the neck angle. In hindsight, I should have made up a new neck block and carved off the old one that was seriously glued on. I trusted in the original alignment being fairly good but, it wasn't :(

I made up a new saddle from ebony. This supports the tail piece as it wraps over the edge and connects to the endpin.
Using two of the strings to roughly gauge and help correct, (as best I can), the neck alignment.
Once the fingerboard is glued, I just have to apply a thin finish of shellac and possibly a top layer of oil finish to seal the violin.
Then I can commence the violin set up :)
